This week I have been off work enjoying a week with the family at home, I have done a lot of baking and trying new things.
I made my own clotted cream and butter which I used to make some shortbread, they were ok, think the clotted cream made them slightly chewy but I was assured they tasted fab.
I also made Caramel cupcakes with a chocolate and caramel buttercream for a friends 16th and another friend who was desperate to try my cakes. Like many use 2 colours to add decoration to the buttercream I added the caramel into the icing bag also.

Raspberry Jam, scones, a cake for Good To Know who are celebrating their 5th birthday and asked readers to bake a cake for them. (this was very quick as deadline was friday and I had my dates mixed up)

Finally a Large Madeira with jam and buttercream for a my friends Father in law who retired and was celebrating his 65th Birthday, Happy Birthday Bernie.

Who Can Guess what his occupation was? the cars have a clue on them
