2 Cakes this week and news on another, yes I got runner up for my Good To Know 5th Birthday cake competition, I was so pleased at was a rush job, so i know I have a chance in future if i’m organised to do such competitions. A news on next weeks, its going to be slightly different than cupcakes are decorated ones as I have been set a challenge by a contestant on the GBBO, yes this seasons GBBO is back x

So First cake, was for a Lady I have known a long time now and her daughter is one of my closest friends, daughters have grown up together and now the boys are also.

I was asked if I could make a handbag cake, I have never done one before I was slightly apprehensive but I did it, along with a pair of sandal’s and a vase of flowers.

The Bag is based on the Vivienne Westwood (style) handbag I have got and the sandal’s are the colour of My Vivenne Westwood shoes (yes real ones)

2nd cake Again another First ‘The cabin’

Weeks ago I was asked to make a cake for some friends of a family member, it was going to be a challenge as it involved figures and a chalet, I spent an evening with a friend of mine and we had a great laugh, dinner and made the figures, they turned out great but as they are similar to the people involved I wont be showing them but be assured one comment was Oh My he Looks like $$$$$$, so I guessed they worked…lol…

This was a chocolate cake 4 layers high

My first attempt at the chalet/cottage/house shape wasn’t to bad but I know I can do better, so next time it will be

It was huge success x
