I have seen many blogs regarding Slow Cooker Sunday and couldnt join in as my slow cooker is tucked away in a cupboard (needs to be binned really as it sticks) but this week I treated myself to Tagine and well, I’m clearly in Love with it, have made 3 meals upto date with it. I’m going to post about the 2nd meal today though.
On Wednesday Morning Foodies100 released thier top ten of the week and as I read through I spotted this recipe from Reluctant Housedad Steak and chips with stilton and marmite mushrooms, what a combination but all things I love (hubby not so keen, but hiding the ingredients isnt bad is it?)

So whilst out buying the said Tagine, I called into Morrisons and bought some braising steak ( I will try the correct recipe in the future) , mushrooms, chestnut as no portobello’s available, marmite, some Blacksticks cheese and an onion.

On Thursday morning I placed the
3 slices of braising steak,
1/2 of the small block of cheese (crumbled)
Sliced the mushrooms
Chopped the onion
1 tsp of marmite
1 Beef knorr stock (well the big man MPW can use it why not me)
topped with water and placed in the oven
I left it there all day.
When ready to eat I had sliced some potatoes and boiled them and served with corn on the cob.
The Boys loved it and so did I.
Linking with TheBoyandMe for this weeks #SCSunday

That looks so delicious, I love all the ingredients and would never have thought to put them together!
